In our world of troubles religion is sore point for many people, with wars fought to eradicate those who do not think quite the same way as someone else. Here Buddhism is so valuable, showing the way towards accepting others as they are, towards valuing each different view, towards loving one another in the way that Jesus taught. Buddhist countries build beautiful temples decorated with valuables as an expression of devotion to the teachings of the Buddha and man’s search for enlightenment. Here is a photo of Swayambhunath Stupa Kathmandu, also known as the Monkey Temple.

Excellent work for this theme my friend i love it ,Thanks for sharing 🙂
That’s a glorious photo Christine – but it was your words that were of real value:)
oh i am sure we all think the same way, when you see that we are all the One, why are we fighting?
It seems that’s what eludes most people … 🙂
I thought you were on Lord Howe Island – but I guess you haven’t left yet! Have a splendid week – it looks like a wonderful place. If it’s anything like Norfolk, it will be grand, and fascinating.
apparently it is like Norfolk 40 years ago, so sounds just right 🙂
Well, I wasn’t in Norfolk 40 years ago, but 20 years ago it was pretty well devoid of development, except for the main street … I rented a motor bike and had the grandest time up hill and down dale – precipices, I seem to remember, and the most magnificent trees!
Gorgeous temple. A peaceful and tolerant religion sounds like the ideal. 😉
oh yes ad, one area of life where peace could be expected!
Valuable, values… Jake’s good at making us think, isn’t he? I love the temple.
Great example of valuable!
A priceless treasure. Just beautiful!
