Nice photo, my 2 year old likes it too! He and I spend a lot of time watching train videos on YouTube. I usually try to find ones from somewhere in the UK, especially the Bluebell line in Scotland.
They were magnificent looking machines, that’s for sure, but I’d forgotten just how much sooty smoke they gushed out – though I do remember the sort of salty, sulphurous smell of it, and getting cinders in the eyes, if you poked your head out, engine-ward. Fabulous shot Christine.
